First Jumbo Jet Lands In Prince George Monday

Prince George- The first Jumbo Jet, a Boeing 747-200 arrives in the city tomorrow on a refuelling stop. The aircraft operated by Southern China Air Inc. is the first jumbo jet to land on the new extended runway. It lands at 11.30am.

The plane will land here, refuel and fly onto Miami, and then Caracaras, Venezuela.

Since opening the new refuelling pad in late September the PG airport has hosted four international carriers that are interested in Prince George and have taken inquiries from many more.

Jumbo jet pilots don't mistakenly look for a windsock at our airport here in PG do they? Jest wunderin'.
why were you wondering??? All airports have windsocks?
Great work by the Airport I hope this is a sign of things to come. We all should have had a little more patience . Myself included.
