Another monumental waste of taxpayer $$$, just to satisfy some bruised egos.
Good luck Brian. I hope all goes well for you.
Good luck Brian, I am typically a right winger. But I have voted for you the last few times, mainly because you stand up for what is right, not what is popular.
Brian is one of very few on council that has a brain. Good luck.
Same here Brian,Good luck!
Lets not get carried away. Skakun is not the brightest light on Council, if he was he wouldnt have got himself into this mess in the first place.

In any event this is a misdeanor I beleif and the worst that can happen is a $2000.00 fine and no criminal record.

I will give him credt for trying to shine a light on what takes place at City Hall, and hopefully he will be successful in that endeavour.
I'm looking forward to the outcome. If he's found guilty I hope he receives the maximum fine. People in a position of trust need to be held accountable. If he's found to be not guilty; I sure hope some heads roll.
I son't see why the big yahoo...
the fact that those two government employees were involved in a relationship was no real secret...
BC Racer is right. The relationship between the two was no secret. What I question is why were the RCMP tasked to investigate this matter while the provincial government has its own investigative branch within the commission to carry out the investigation? I think that stinks a bit..especially with one of the affected parties being moved out of the detachment still occupying a high rank within the RCMP and having an interest in the outcome of the court case. Was this person still in PG when the investigation commenced? Regardless I feel this aspect of the case should be delved into by Mr. Skakun's lawyer.
