This year's Spruce King Lottery Show Home at 2267 McTavish Road

This is the 24th annual Show Home Lottery for the Prince George Spruce Kings...

Lottery Manager Kelly Sharp says this year's home is a spectacular three-bedroom valued at more than $270,000.00, overlooking the 7th green at Aberdeen Glen Golf Course.

Sharp says it's the first year the home has included the appliances, and the freezer-fridge combo alone is valued at almost $3000.00.

There are only 6,999 tickets to be sold at a price of $100.00.  "To date, they're doing extremely well," says Sharp, "We're still going to need that local support in the back end here and if we get the big rush of tickets like we did last year, we can sell it out."

Last year, the team fell about 300 tickets shy of that goal.  "So that was our best year ever and it's critical for the hockey team to do well on the house because all the money goes back to the operating costs for the team and next year we're hosting the National Championships."

The winning ticket will be drawn in the evening on January 1st and tickets will be on sale right up until that morning.  For more information phone 1-888-962-4946 or click here to view the website.

some people will do anything to support violence in sports
I love the detailing of the house .....

What's the roof contraption over the entrance all about? I'll leave it at that .....

other than to say that home builders should have learned long ago that one does not drain water from eavestroughs into the foundation areas.

But hey, its almost free .. ;-)

There will come a time when people will realize that functional design and fadism simply do not go hand in hand.

It is one thing to have an old fashioned wash bowl sitting on top of a table or counter, it is another to fix the bowl to the plumbing system in such a way that it cannot move and come to the realization that cleaning around it, especially on the back side, is a pain in the butt since it cannot be moved.
i guess these hockey guys who ordered the house built have had too many hits to the head....thus roof draining to the foundation....
What a great way to raise money to fund the Spruce Kings.

One can't always rely on fan support.

The other benefit, some lucky person will win a new home.

Of course, there are always some who will be critical of something or other about the home, so they shouldn't buy a ticket in the first place. Chester
Chester .... you are quite right that there are many positive things about gambling. In this case the money stays local, is for a good cause, and will make one of the ticket holders happy. In fact, it would make me happy too to win. I would easily be able to afford changing some of those minor things I would not personally like to be surrounded with.

Besides, I could always sell it and use the money to do some renovations on the house I live in. :-)

In spite of that, it still hurts my eyes to look at it. We really have much better talent in this community to design such houses. I am sure a few would actually design it for nothing as a donation. It should be a show piece, especially next to the course.
I for one would be extremely happy to win this house, and if I do I will move in January 2nd.
Owl, I am not really a supporter of gambling.
The sale of a ticket on a home for the purpose of raising financial support for a hockey team is more important than the house.

It would be a very nice bonus to win the home of course, while supporting your local hockey team. Chester.
