Prince George, B.C.-  RCMP  have identified  the man found dead in a room at the Connaught Hotel earlier today. Although police are not releasing his name, they are saying  he was 65 years old and was originally from Quebec.

The death was discovered when a chambermaid entered the room earlier today. She called  emergency services, and when  paramedics arrived on scene, they  discovered a mysterious substance and called in the HazMat  team.  The  chambermaid was quarrantined for a time until it was certain she had not suffered  any  ill effects from the  substance.  As a safety precaution,  adjacent rooms were  evacuated.   Police now say the mysterious  substance was helium gas.

Police say there  was  no foul play in the man's death and have handed the file over to the Coroner.

No death is funny but come on...helium?! Was this man a clown? Very strange story.
maybe he was experimenting to get high.
Luckily the hotel was tied down to the foundation.

Wondering whether the helium had escaped from the cylinder. On purpose or accidental, the fellow may then have died of asphyxiation.
Dirigible parked out back?
Was there a weather balloon and a crazy psuedo scientist in the next room?
