Oodles of items  under the Christmas Tree at the RCMP North District  Office, are  destined for  the Salvation Army
Prince George, B.C.- The Salvation Army in Prince George has received a  special truck load of goodies. For the past   two and a half weeks, 9-1-1 dispatch staff at the RCMP North District office , have been collecting gifts and non-perishable food items  for those who are less fortunate.
OIC Sandy Vogstad says the 80 staff who make up four “watches” donated 2,300 items. “There’s everything from baby food to slippers,   pet food to   chocolates and it will be delivered this afternoon to the Salvation Army at 5th and Ospika.”
The project included a little bit of friendly competition, with “C” watch winning by donating the   most items. “There was no real prize,   just knowing that you did a great job” says Vogstad.
