Road Conditions 'Round Province Available On Line

With the return of winter driving conditions as we head into the last long weekend of the holiday season, a reminder about where to find road condition information.
The province has an excellent website www.drivebc.ca which has information on all the major routes. You can check a location on the map, or enter the highways that are most important to you.
The site is also working on including web cams but at this point there is only one listed for the entire north and it is in Smithers.
Ad of 8:30 this morning, the site reported the following:
Highway 16 west, compact snow with slippery sections,
Highway 16 East compact snow
Highway 97 north compact snow with slushy sections
Highway 97 south slippery with slushy sections.
