Prince George - The Prince George Cougars are pleased to announce that along with our fans, over two thousand dollars was raised for aid relief efforts in Haiti Saturday night.
Fans had the opportunity at last Saturday’s game against the Vancouver Giants to make a donation to the relief effort in Haiti, which totalled $1,064. With the Cougars doubling that amount, the Canadian Red Cross will receive a total of $2,128. Cougars Vice President Brandi Brodsky will present a cheque to the Canadian Red Cross prior to Friday night’s game against the Kelowna Rockets, starting at 7:00.
“The Cougars are very fortunate to have such passionate fans, not only for hockey, but for the well being of everyone, no matter where in the world they live,” said Cougars Vice President Brandi Brodsky. “We’re pleased that we could help with the tireless relief efforts in Haiti.”
