Shelter Box Fund Raiser Continues to Raise Dollars

Prince George, B.C. - Prince George continues to do its part to help those in need in Haiti.
Since last week, another $14 thousand dollars has been raised in Prince George for the Have a Heart for Haiti Shelter Box campaign.
The Prince George Rotary clubs have been looking after this fundraising event in P.G and say the local total is now $17 thousand dollars, and the total for the North is $90 thousand.
That means, Northern B.C. will be able to help another 90 Haitian families by giving them a Shelter Box.
What’s in a Shelter Box? The basics for shelter, cooking and survival for ten people those who have been left homeless by a disaster.
Each box contains a tent, blankets, cooking pots and utensils, a basic stove for warmth and cooking, basic tools, water purification tablets, waterproof ponchos, mosquito nets (if area is prone to malaria) children's school supplies collapsible water container, and ground sheets.
