Ha ha ha. The words "grow op". Under the words, just the location, the date and yes or no if anyone was arrested. Anything else is just a waste of ink. Same old, same old. Boring! They should really pass a new law. Seems the old one ain't workin'.
No kidding Harbinger.

What's the expression, insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result?

The entire culture is insane... been saying it for years.
New law, good idea. How about capital punishment for drug dealers. The world would be a better place without them.
Capital Punishment for growing a plant?
A little over the top don't you think?
Canada does not have capital punishment for first degree murder and you want to pull the switch on an agricultural producer?

These busts are all due to an informant. Someone deep in the industry turned. That is the only reason we have had so many busts recently. Not as one officer put it last week, "because we are good." If this topic were not so serious, I would be ROFLOL!

Please do some research on the subject. You will find that pretty much every bit of government supplied "information" is little more that outright lies and misinformation.

I am still waiting for the RCMP to bust the suppliers of the chemicals that actually do harm. They won't because they can't.

Supt. Brenda Butterworth-Carr, you are now challenged to produce a significant bust of a chemical recreational drug supply network. Something on the same monetary scale as these recent pot busts. Or is low hanging fruit the only thing your officers are capable of?
Still think we need three strike rule. Put some off these repeat offenders away for a long time. Should also bring back capital punishment. Why people like Olsen or Bernado are alive is beyond me.
Prince George has a 200 million dollar debt. My guess is PG has about 10,000-15,000 pot smokers.

Say the average pot smoker smokes 1/2 ounce a month. Street value of $150. 12,500 smokers giving dealers 1,925,000 million a month. So lets legalize make a 70% tax on pot which would bring PGs take to roughly 1.3 million a month. At that rate we could pay off our debt in about 12 years. Meanwhile we would save millions in police work and teenagers wouldn't be exposed to the same dealers who sell things much worse than pot.

I think legalizing pot is how Obama is going to pay for his health care plans.

In 2007, I think it was gallop polls, found that 30% of Canadians use cannabis, and estimate are as high as 70% have tried it.

Prince George Population ≈70,000
30% of 70k = 21,000

We don't need to rape the user at 70% sin tax, but you do have the basic concept.

Estimated production in BC from a bbc news story from March 2006 or maybe 2005, values the annual harvest at $3.2 billion to $7 billion. That is more than beef, and lumber combined. Those are FBN's for sure.

As long as it is illegal, this is the revenue being generated for organized crime. I always wondered why our government would want to provide that level of support to organized crime. I always thought there was a war on organized crime organizations. I guess it provides a reason to increase the budgets for law enforcement and civil defense so they can fight the war on organized crime. I would prefer it if they would just plan on winning the war rather than fighting the war.
1/2 ounce $150.00 wow someone is getting ripped off!! LOL
The fact that some people believe that legalizing pot would stop organized crime is proof that cannibis makes one not think straight...
