Quesnel, B.C.- Prince George is not the only Central Interior B.C. community to lose out on the latest round of funding under the Building Canada Fund.

 

Quesnel has just learned its application has been rejected.

 

The Quesnel application was for $1.3 million dollars to build a dike system that would help protect vital infrastructure in West Quesnel.

 

Just as in the rejection notice sent to the City of Prince George, the Quesnel letter indicated the denial was not a reflection of the project's worthiness; rather it was an indication of the volume of applications the grant program had received.
