Prince George, B.C.- The interactive web  feature which opened up the lines of communication for anonymous ideas and comments on the myPG project has wrapped up, and the process of developing a long term plan for the City is moving to the next stage.

This stage will use a series of workshops to link all the information gathered with the technical work necessary to produce the kind of City the public has envisioned.

The first workshop is slated for Thursday and Friday and is called the “Scenarios Workshop” where participants will develop several visions based on how external factors might impact the goals.

There will be opportunity for public review each evening of the workshop from 6:30 – 8:30 in room 208 at the Civic Centre.

After the scenarios workshops have been completed, the next stage will see 5 strategy workshops each one focusing on a different topic: (1) Land use and transportation; (2) Buildings, infrastructure and open space; (3) Youth priorities; (4) Social development; and (5) Economic development.

The draft results from each workshop will also be posted on the myPG website  (www.myPG.ca) and available at City Hall.

Tax payer savings = Getting rid of these kinds of groups until we can afford them.
The only thing interactive at City Hall is the elevator!
