I quite honestly would have rather the government help the poor and homeless or fix our health care system. Sports are nice but we must have priorities.

The cartoon is bang on! The Olympics have out priced themselves many years ago and we still have politicians insisting that we do these events because of "THEIR" egos and "our" money. We as taxpayers cannot continue to support politicians that are not thinking about the "whole" Province. The Liberal politicians are going to have one hell of a hill to climb next election, especially those that are not in the Lower Mainland!

Fix the health care system??? are you kidding me we have one of the best health care systems in the world!
the homeless living on the streets of Canada? they are there weather the Olympics are here or not!!!(there have been homeless people since....????)

What ever happened to national pride?? do the Olympics cost a lot? yes, is there ways to save some of our tax dollars probably! ( get rid of the governor general, how much does she cost?? and what exactly does she do??)but the games will go on regardless if Canada is Hosting or not!
Do we not want our Country represented!!

We are one of the most diversified,beautiful,free country's of the world!!! I am proud to be Canadian and I am glad the games are here in B.C. CANADA !!!
