Prince George, B.C. -  A five-game homestand started off promising, but finished on a low as the Prince George Cougars lost 3-1 to the Portland Winterhawks tonight.

The game was tied 1-1 after the first, thanks to a marker from the Cats' Parker Stanfield in front of the 1873 fans in attendance at CN Centre.

The Cougars are 2-and-3 in their last five.  The team hits the road for a three-game trip starting in Calgary on Wednesday evening.
