"This is another historic moment for the 2010 Olympic Games, and an exciting time for all of Canada."

So says B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell in passing on his congratulations to Squamish snowboarder Mike Robertson following his silver medal win this afternoon.

"We held our collective breaths as Mike ran the race of a lifetime and seized a well-earned podium finish. It was a thrilling Olympic moment that
had people across Canada cheering."

Robertson's medal is the first to be won by a B.C. athlete at the Vancouver-Whistler Games.

thought he was born in Edmonton and lives in Canmore? did we annex Alberta?
Campbell may not be quite so cocky when the new budget come out 2 days after the Olympics end!
Not going to be pretty and likely much worse than we expected!
Noticed him standing alone waving a flag in a dorky jacket last night at the medal presentations.
Surrounded by empty seats and no one anywhere near him.
Does the man have no "friends"?
Can't fail to agree with Campbell on this one!

Go Canada go!
