Whistler, B.C. -  Prince George biathlete Megan Tandy has finished in 36th place in the Women's 10-km Pursuit race at the 2010 Winter Games.

It was the second race at the Games for the 21-year-old, she qualified for today's event by finishing 46th in the 7.5-km Biathlon Sprint on Saturday.  Only the top 60 finishers advanced from that race and Tandy was the only Canadian to make the cut.

Prior to the start of the Olympics, Tandy had set a goal of finishing in the Top 30 in her debut at the Olympics.  She moved up 10 spots to do just that today.

Her next race is the Women's 15-km Individual on Thursday morning.  Tandy will round out her Olympic experience with the 4x6km relay

Way to go Ms. Tandy! You have done very well.

Great news. Would like to see some more top finishers for Canada though. Local club must be doing something right. Keep up the good work.
