Vancouver, B.C. - Canada has chalked up its second gold medal of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics...

31-year-old Maelle Ricker had a golden performance in the Ladies' Snowboard Cross at Cypress Mountain this afternoon.

After falling in one of the qualifying races, Ricker had to wait to find out if she'd advanced to the final.  Upon learning she'd made it, Ricker says she just wanted to explode out of the gate.  She led by a large margin for most of the final run.

Deborah Anthonioz of France placed second and Olivia Nobs of Switzerland took bronze.
