Prince George, B.C. -  RCMP have cordoned off several city blocks in the Millar Addition after discovering the body of an apparent shooting victim lying in the snow in the 18-hundred block of Hemlock Street.

RCMP spokesperson, Constable Gary Godwin, says the deceased, a 27-year-old Prince George man, was known to them, but he will not speculate on whether the death is connected to the city's drug trade.

Godwin says officers originally received a call reporting shots fired in the area around 5am this morning.  He says officers investigated, but found nothing.

Another call came into the local detachment at 7:20am, this one from a resident reporting a body lying in the snow.  Police and paramedics arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Godwin says the time of death has not yet been determined.  He says part of the investigation may look at the earlier call out.  He says there was a lot of snow in the area, but also says that officiers found nothing at that time.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
must of been over a Grow-Op or something
Got to pay your debts! Street justice is quick and unforgiving.
Funny how those in the drug trade never think it will happen to them?
Maybe the city fathers could spring for the bullets and we could clean up a few more of 'em. Hell I would vote for that idea.
My sympathies to his family.
The BC justice system should try to be equally quick and unforgiving.

Give our justice system some teeth so that they can put these criminals behind bars where they belong.
Amen to that Mr.PG!
Strangely enough, I agree with both sentiments expressed above; I sympathize with the guys' family, someone cares about him, but if he was involved in the drug scene, he got what he deserved, in my opinion.
metalman.
my condolences to his family and friends
This unfortunately is where addiction can take us. It is a disease just like alcoholism. This person was not able to find peace within himself and addiction took him to dark places that were not safe. We have a choice today, jails, institutions, death or recovery!! Let's learn from this!! This person had more than a few people that cared for him!!!!! Many many loved ones, family and friends. May he be at peace now, we loved him and will miss him always! Thanks for the great memories, Happy.....
