Quesnel, B.C. - Not only did the Quesnel RCMP Drug section seize a large number of pot plants during a two-home raid in a rural area of the city, the officers also netted a suspect, they say, is linked to other BC grow ops.

RCMP say the man has ties to Asian organized crime and is linked to marijuana grow ops that were busted in Lillooet and 100-Mile House.  He is also wanted in Saskatchewan on a charge of production of marijuana.

On Wednesday, Quesnel RCMP officers, with the assistance of the Prince George Dog section, executed a search warrant on two homes on Rawlings Road.  Officers discovered more than 3,000 pot plants and several thousand dollars worth of grow equipment.  Police say the male was arrested at one of the residences, but was the owner of both.

The suspect has been remanded in custody and will appear in Quesnel Provincial Court later this month.

Hopefully they can keep him in jail. It would be fitting if the gov't could seize the assets listed in the puke's name too.
