Vancouver, B.C. -  Members of Initiatives Prince George and the Northwest BC Forest Coalition will be on-hand today with Forests Minister Pat Bell for a scheduled news conference in Vancouver's Robson Square, to mark Forestry Day at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

The Forests Minister's announcement is expected to be an update on the Wood First Task Force's Memorandum of Understanding...relating to increasing the use of wood in local government buildings and increased investment opportunities in B.C.'s Northwest.

Officials with Initiatives Prince George -- the City's economic development agency -- are also hosting a reception and economic forum for business leaders attending the Winter Games in Vancouver to talk about investing in the city and, in particular, Wood First initiatives.

Good Luck, talking about Forestry to a bunch of tree huggers, who has no idea what is the economic engine of our province.
Sure they do. All they need to do is look around to see all the improvements to their surroundings payed for with the taxdollars the people of the north ship down there on a regular basis to make their lives so nice.
