Haida drive. where abouts is that?

I wonder if all these busts are impacting the consumers. I wonder if their prices are going up to buy stuff. after all its supply and demand.

So how many plants have been busted so far this year, compared to the other years. are they publicizing it more because they need to justify the new location?

This is the stuff they need to put more effort into.
yup we wanna see some crack busts soon or xtc or meth or heroin.
Just a question, do you guys ever get tired of saying the exact same thing every time a grow op is busted?
I'm sure there are plenty more out there to bring down... keep em coming! Good job!
Not yet, persistence pays off eventually. We have little other legal recourse to effect change. This is our personal cause.

Do you ever get tired of commenting on a subject you have little vested interest in? You have expressed that you do not consume. May I assume that you are a business person? With that, the socially accepted intoxicant is copious amounts of alcohol. We can see at any time the results of consuming that intoxicant, yet the only real difference is the legal status.
Another grow op take down? Cheers! I'll drink to that!
Legalize it, yes, I'm all for that! But it's not. So it's ILLEGAL, contributing to ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES.
Debate legal vs illegal and make comparisons all you want. The fact remains, they are BREAKING THE LAW and bringing down our city.
This is not small time business.
Keep em coming and destroy them all.
Thunder, that is part of our point. If it were legal, then criminals could not be involved in a criminal fashion.
If it is illegal, criminals will profit from it.

The gun registry created criminals of normally law abiding citizens. Bill c38 has done the same.

What exactly is the problem with someone choosing this as a relaxing depressant, the same as having a shot of brandy? Same desired result, different approach.

Even though the bill C-38.8 has its roots further in our history back to the turn of the 20th century, it is still a contentious issue. No one has ever denied the justification for making the chemicals illegal. We are objecting to this stuff not only being in the same class, but also being treated as a far more detrimental substance than heroin or crack. Sort of like treating dinner wine like over proof rum. It's a little over the top. There never has been and there never will be any story of a crazed pot head running rampant. As MrPG often points out, it tends to induce relaxation (laziness). Of course I don't agree with the degree he implies, but do admit that to be true.

Generally we agree that the other stuff should be illegal. It is only this one substance that we feel should not be entirely prohibited. Possibly controlled, definitely regulated, but legal.
Loki, I'll take your answer as a definite 'no'.

Since we're repeating ourselves, if you think pot will be legal in our lifetimes, you're dreaming in technicolour.
It does not matter about the when so much as the effort. I would like it today of course. That is not going to happen.

Slowly, almost insidiously, we will instigate change in the laws of our country. That is how it happens. Sometimes it is a long battle.

In case you have not noticed, I am extremely tenacious/persistent/stubborn.
Most of the Pot operations that were taken down are larger international operations. The USA demands our stuff cause the best of the best gets grown right here in your backyards... California is just a few miles south of Highway 16@ Vancouver town... Go figure. We are the hub of the Provence for everything!

Unfortunately prohibition causes it to be paid for in stuff the US does not want on their side of the border... Guns, Coke, Meth, artificial DMA (X) etc... DEA comes here and busts some people yet we never hear what happens to the people that receive the pot and supply the guns for our violence... Oops different story... Sorry.

A person can have 2 or 3 plants on the go and with good (Basic) horticultural skills can keep rotating immature plants to keep a few pounds going round the year. This supplies a few consumers who need it locally. The person selling makes a few bucks and puts it right back into the economy by buying food, cars, stereos and houses- well, you get the idea... They are not theives or real bad people. There are no problems with local operations like that.

Many individuals come to Prince George just to smoke our pot and cause no harm. Have you Seen the progress at the Cancer Center? People will be able to sit right back and light up as a relief from the suffering and horrors of Modern Pharmaceuticals if you change your attitude.

I appreciate that the cops are not bothering those small grow operations as our plants are needed here. Bust some crack and Meth houses next please- Prove your worth, they bother small grow ops too! So far it has not affected prices here in PG.

Weed is Medicine and perhaps if there is more involved then just a few plants- let us say 10... at an average 1.5 to 2 lbs per plant- do the math on the amount taken so far, the cops should start a "weed Cafe" with the cannabis they collect from seizures. Distribute it to "Health Canada" approved conditions locally, perhaps through the food banks, free.

Legitimate persons would consume it along with others who should be legitimate (everyone has the right to refuse it- but you have to give them something to refuse) and we wont have to go to shady characters in bad neighborhoods to risk our life to get our medicine. Have a good day!
legalize it,
That will put all the pot criminals out of business.
Oh wait it will also eliminate alot of police jobs.
Whats saved in those police jobs can lower taxes.
pretty much a win win unless your a police officer.
Bull. Legalizing pot would not cause any police to lose their jobs. If anything, it would direct them to something else that a segment of society believes should be legal.
The only people who think legalizing pot will stop crime are those who are stoned... hmmmm
