Prince George Fire Rescue officials were called to Forests for the World this afternoon to help transport a man, injured while tobogganing.

Details are sketchy at this time, as the Duty Chief says the engine is just arriving back to the hall after being called out around one this afternoon.

The fire fighters set out from the FFTW parking lot, as the mishap apparently occurred somewhere in the vicinity of Shane Lake.  The crew was equipped with a basket-stretcher that rolls on a wheel...meant to help transport over longer distances.

There are unconfirmed reports the man may have hit a pole or tree while riding the toboggan.

B.C. Ambulance officials say a 35-year-old man was transported to Prince George Regional Hospital with undetermined back injuries.
