The Cariboo Regional District has confirmed that legal counsel representing Electoral Area F Director, Duncan Barnett has filed a writ with the BC Supreme Court. The basis of the litigation is defamation.

 

Defendants in the action have been named as the Cariboo Regional District; Chief Administrative Officer, Janis Bell; former CRD Chair, Jon Wolbers; and former CRD Vice-Chair, Ronda Wilkins. The Regional District Board is supporting and indemnifying the persons named. The CRD’s lawyers will be providing defence and the necessary response.

 

The basis for the law suit is not known.
