Name of Second Murder Victim Released

Prince George, B.C.- RCMP have released the name of the second man found dead off the Pelican Lake Forest Services Road near a Clear Lake sawmill area farm last week. He was 45 year old Darren Hala.
Constable Gary Godwin says the two murder victims and the woman who was injured, all knew each other.
A pathologist has now confirmed the two men died of stab wounds.
The first murder victim , Owen Thompson, a 48 year old Prince George resident, was found last Wednesday. Also found at that crime scene was a 48 year old woman who was taken to hospital.
36 year old Michael James Bartley of Alberta was arrested in Paradise Valley in Alberta. He is facing one charge of 2nd degree murder and one charge of attempted murder. He is expected to be returned to Prince George this week.
RCMP continue to investigate and will be consulting with Crown Counsel with respect to additional charges.
