Prince George, B.C. – Charges against 36 old Michael Bartley have been upgraded.

Regional Crown has now upgraded the original 2^nd degree murder charge to 1^st degree murder and has laid a second 1^st degree murder charge and a further charge of aggravated assault  in addition to a charge of attempted murder.

The charges relate to the stabbing deaths of two men, Owen Thompson and Darren Halla and the wounding of a woman last week on a property on Blackwater Road .

Bartley, who was arrested in Paradise Valley Alberta last week, has been returned to Prince George and is  scheduled to appear in court tomorrow morning.
