Prince George, B.C.- Two more marijuana grow ops have been busted in Prince George.
RCMP executed search warrants on a residence in the 3000 block of Spruce Street and one  in the 3700 block of Shane Crescent.
Over 1200 marijuana plants were seized as a well as a large quantity of equipment often used in grow operations.
Police say they have uncovered evidence which they believe links the two properties. They also believe they have evidence which links the operations to organized crime.

Let this be another lesson to these baaad marijuana growers. I am sure they will eventually learn that crime doesn't pay. And then there is Const. Dudley DoRight. Who, I am told by a reliable source, arrests trees for loitering.
Good work is all I can say.
Bad boys bad boys... whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
Kudos to the cops for nailing more bad guys. But this never ending war will only be won by decriminalizing marijuana. By making it illegal we have given a ditch weed the value of gold, and enriched a very nasty criminal element that is becoming a very powerful part of our society.
We could win the war by not smoking the stuff. Whats the chance of that happening.?
Seems the Netherlands legalized Maijuana a number of years ago. People were allowed to smoke and have a limited amount in possision. Same applied to coffee shops etc;

Guess what?? The criminal element is still alive and well in the Netherlands and they just fined some owner of a coffee shop $13 Million Euros.

So I guess legalizing this shit doesnt work.

I guarantee you that marijuana is not the number one agricultural crop of Holland, as it is here. The criminal element will always be with us. As long as some lazy moron figures they can make a quick buck by doing something outside the law, they will. We don't have to make it profitable for them by making a ditch weed into something valuable.
its gotta hurt the supply line sooner or later. I bet its got to be over 40,000 plants so far this year.
how is the cocaine team coming along with there busts?...just wondering
All they are doing is making the price go higher and the rewards of going into business that much better. I am wondering if opposing gangs are turning each other in. Pretty soon it will be 2 kilos of coke for every one of BC bud, lets hear it for free enterprise!!!!

One plant can produce 300 clones every two weeks. This is a drop in the bucket of the potential. Maybe they got some gang related guys, but in no way does this represent a drying up of the supply.
Some guys with one or two plants make more money than those with 2000 plants. Its all in the perspective one takes.
I'd also say its a safe bet to say that those same growers that lost 40,000 plants probably also lost 400,000 to root rot as a cost of doing business in the same time frame. Its a cycle that can be interrupted, but I don't see it being broken, just costing lost of money and enabling lots of criminal activity.
For a stable life long employment join the RCMP and their war on drugs.

You get to play with cool toys and exercise your vandalism leaning denied all your life.

The war on drugs is designed such that it will always be fought and never actually won. In chess they call that a stalemate.

The only real losers in this whole scheme is all the taxpayers footing the bill. At a cost of billions of dollars each year, the RCMP continue to expand their budgets, and organized crime and independent growers continue to learn and adapt to avoid detection. The technologies on both sides have developed extensively over the years. War is the mother of invention.

Really, this is not a war on drugs. It is a war on prohibited agriculture, and a war on freedom of choice. It is my choice to consume, your choice not to consume, the key here is choice. Is that not what our country was founded on, freedom of choice and freedom from oppression. If we wanted to live in a nanny state, our charter would have reflected that. It was not.

I personally am not a fan of the current trendy recreation non-distance travel aids(take a trip without leaving the chair), but it is a choice that I believe everyone should be able to make. If you want to be a coke head, that is your choice.

The bushism for this is "the war on drugs", when really it is only a war on pot, a native of the southern USA.
They can bust as many grow ops as they want and the dope smokers are still getting their bag. I have friends and family who smoke pot and I am telling you that they never once had trouble getting their supply. The stuff being smokes is from somewhere else. All these busts are good but it is not slowing anything down. There is a system right now in PG where unless they get it coming in ...they will never bust anyone. Delivery at its best!
Each plant can produce between 2k and 4k worth of pot. No wonder there never seems to be any shortage of people willing to try and grow the stuff. Decriminalize it, let everyone grow their own, make it worthless.
Loki says "The only real losers in this whole scheme is all the taxpayers"
Sorry Loki - the real losers are the ones like yourself who need to smoke dope to get through the day. Choice is fine and if you were to lock youself in a basement each time I really could care less, but thats not the case is it? No, dope smokers will be out driving, shopping, hanging around kids, heck probably picking thier own kids up from school. Any guesses which kids at school are pushing dope on other kids? Yeah, the ones whose parents smoke and figure its ok. I guess we just choose what laws we can adhere to depending on our beliefs eh?
You better come up with some proof of what you say Interceptor. You are wrong about people who smoke dope being losers. There are more elderly today smoking up than ever before. There are lawyers, doctors and every walk of life choosing to smoke up rather than drink. Not all pot smokers are losers like narrow minded people think they are. They carry out their daily life working and living just like DRINKERS DO. Most people who smoke up only smoke it on their own time and do not pick up kids and drive. We are not talking about kids here. And as far as your theory that only dope smokers kids sell drugs, it is laughable and nothing more.
Ah another dope smoker chimes in... Why do you guys always relate it to drinking? I am not debating whether drinking is good or bad. If you want to change the laws then pitter patter best get at 'er. As it stands though, having a beer is legal and smoking pot is illegal. End of story.
Ps - kids whos parents smoke cigarette are much more likely to end up smoking. Kids whos parents drink are much more likely to drink... you see where this is going? I dont recall saying "only" dope smokers kids sell drugs, its just a precentage play. "hey look what I got our of my dads dresser - its cool they do it everyday"
In my personal experience, interceptor is fairly close to the truth.

The apple doesnt fall far from the tree.

In my social group there is only one family having problems with their child in school, been caught with drugs twice on school property, been suspended but keeps going back to what he knows.

To go along with this, his parents are the only adults in our social group who smoke pot on a regular basis, they have since they were teens and are open about it at home. They use the booze argument, but they are the only ones who have carried on while the rest of dropped it as we have gotten older.

A very small sample size for sure, but its my personal experience.
