Bartley Remanded Until Mid April

Prince George, B.C.- Michael J Bartley will be staying in jail until at least the 13th of April.
Bartley is facing two charges of first degree murder in the stabbing deaths of Owen Thompson and Darren Hala and one count of attempted murder in the wounding of a woman. He is also charged with aggravated assault.
Appearing in court   in Prince George this morning, Bartley’s case was remanded until the 13th of April, that will give him time to consult with a lawyer.
Bartley was returned to Prince George this week, after being arrested in Paradise Valley in Alberta last Thursday, the same day  the second murder victim was discovered  at the Blackwater road  farm poperty,  and one day after the other two victims had been found.

I didn't realize there was bail for 1st degree murder!! Is this something new?

I can't imagine somebody that is accused of stabbing two people to death, and seriously injuring another, being allowed to walk around our community on bail. Something just stinks here, that this would even be considered.

Just my thoughts.
