Connolly Ranked Number 3 for NHL Draft

Prince George, BC – 17-year old Prince George Cougars forward Brett Connolly is the third ranked North American skater eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, according to NHL Central Scouting’s final rankings, released on Wednesday. Connolly is also the top rated WHL skater in Wednesday’s final rankings.
Connolly moves up one position in the rankings of North American skaters, after being rated fourth in Central Scouting’s mid-term rankings in January. Connolly recorded 10 goals and 19 points in 16 games during the 2009-10 WHL season. The Prince George product also played for Team WHL in the Subway Super Series against Russia on November 26. Connolly earned the WHL and CHL Rookie of the Year honors in 2008-09, recording 30 goals and 60 points.
Connolly is currently with Team Canada’s Under-18 team, preparing for the World Under-18 Championship in Belarus, April 13-23.
