Crash Near Dunkley Lumber Sends Three To Hospital

Quesnel, B.C. -Three people have been taken to hospital in Quesnel this morning following a head on crash on Highway 97 near Hush Lake, near the Dunkley Lumber turn off north of Quesnel.

The accident occurred just after 9 a.m. sending a woman driver and her two children to hospital in Quesnel. The woman was knocked unconscious in the accident, but the extent of her injuries or those of the children are not known

Two occupants in a second vehicle were not injured. .

Highway 97 north is down to one lane of traffic as tow trucks remove the debris from the scene.

Very icy out there last night and no snow plows out... potentially that was a factor?

How sad to hear that a young child has since died in this accident. The news stated this afternoon that the mother has been sent to Vancouver in stable conditon but with serious head injuries and the other child was uninjured. I sure hope mom is going to be alright. My condolences to the family.
