The University of Winnipeg has called a news conference for Tuesday (11am Pacific Time) at which time Mike Raimbault is expected to be announced as the new Men's Basketball Coach for the U of W Wesmen.
The news conference was originally set for today (Monday) but was postponed because of another announcement.
The Wesmen were the worst team in the Canada West Conference of the CIS this season with a record of 1-19 in the Prairie Division.
The 28-year-old Raimbault leaves UNBC after two successful seasons which included an overall
29-7 regular season record.
He was named CCAA coach of the year last month as he guided the Timberwolves to their first national championship.
Prior to his two seasons with UNBC, Raimbault, a native of Brandon, acted as interim head coach with the Brandon Bobcats in 2007-08.
UNBC officials will not comment on Raimbault's departure until after the news conference.

A sad story for Prince George, but great for Winnipeg.
Mike you have done us proud, and proved the UNBC is the little University that could.

Very sad to see you leave us so soon, but we wish you well none the less.

Keep your boys running, and they will always reach the top.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!
Mike is a fantastic person and coach and will do very well in Winnipeg. Thank you for a great 2 years Mike, you will be missed but we all wish you the best.
