Man Accused in Incident with 14 Year Old

Quesnel, B.C. – A 49 year old man is facing charges after a 14 year old girl was propositioned.
Quesnel RCMP say the girl was at the Quesnel library when a man approached her and offered to take her back to his van.
The girl informed library staff who called police. An arrest was made.
The suspect, David Raymond Couture has been charged with invitation to sexual touching and possession of a controlled substance. He has appeared in court and will be released pending bail and conditions set by the Provincial Court. The conditions include:
· Must not have any contact with children under the age of 16
· Not to be anywhere where children under the age of 17 would be including public parks, school grounds, day cares and recreational centre.
· Not to be in Quesnel, or Williams Lake
· Not to possess drugs, alcohol or weapons.
Police say he is known to drive an older model grey camper van . He has brown hair, blue eyes and is of medium build.
He is required to return to Quesnel for Court on June 8th.
