Prince George, B.C. - Environment Canada Meteorologist Jim Steele says April of 2010  could be described as "a bit on the fickle side with some very changeable conditions".
Here is  his monthly report:

The changeable conditions ranged from very warm, to on the chilly side, throw in a bit of rain, a bit of snow and even a thunderstorm and you have it covered.
On the temperature side of things, the month got off to a typical start with normal temperatures, this cooled dramatically during the second week with well below normal conditions, establishing the coolest temperatures of the month on the 10th. Things turned around by the 145h with a burst of early summer conditions, afternoon temperatures climbing into the upper teens and low twenties with the warmest days of the month on the 19th and 20th. The last week of the month saw temperatures return to normal late April values. In then end with the combination of the cool spell and the warm spell, monthly temperatures ended up just about right on normal.

On the precipitation side of things, it was off to a typical start with some showers and a bit of snow, then dry until the end of the last week of the month. The April showers did materialize during the last week with the majority of the monthly precipitation arriving during this period. In the end, similar to the temperatures, the precipitation was just about right on normal.

I notice the weather in Quesnel always seems a lot warmer and dryer than in PG... Lots of hills and valleys that bisect the two cities, so I wonder if that's why we have completely different weather so often when the two cities are located so close to each other?

I hope we've seen the last of the nightly freezing anyways. Planted a little early this year....
And Williams Lake is a little bit warmer than Quesnel.

And 100 mile is a bit dryer and warmer than Williams Lake.

And then Cache Creek is a bit warmer than 100 mile house.

and then Lytton is also a bit warmer and dryer..

Hmmmmmm I wonder why, eagleone
