Cougars Sign Forsberg

Prince George, B.C.- The Prince George Cougars wasted no time in signing 15  year old Alex Forsberg to a standard WHL contract.

Forsberg was the Cougars' first overall pick in the 2010 Bantam Draft last week.   He played as an underage centre for the Beardy's Blackhawks of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.  He finished tied for  third in league scoring with 72 points and second in assists with  46 while adding 26 goals in 44 games.  The Waldheim,  Saskatchewan product stands 5'10" and weighs 170 pounds.

"Alex is a real solid addition to the Cougars organization" says Cougars General Manager Dallas Thompson.  "He's a tremendous player that was ahead of the curve playing Midget AAA in Saskatchewan."
