Prince George, B.C.-  That's a lot of rubber!

As of 1:00 this afternoon,  Prince George residents had dropped off enough old tires to  fill one semi-trailer  and crews were working on filling a second.

Today is tire round up day.  The tires turned in today will be taken to a facility in Delta where the metals will be removed,  the rubber then chipped down for re-use. 

The  round up is meant to  prevent the rubber from  entering the land fill.

Tires will be accepted  until 4:00  this afternoon.  The  trailer is set up at the CN Centre  parking lot.
