Prince George, B.C.  – He is simply a rock ‘n roll legend and on August 4, he will be at the CN Centre.  Meat Loaf is coming to Prince George.

It has been three decades since Meat Loaf exploded on the rock 'n' roll circuit with the release of  the album Bat Out of Hell. That album has sold 43 million copies worldwide and remains the third biggest-selling album of all time.   It still sells 200,000 copies every year.

Meat Loaf followed it up with two phenomenal sequels, and this year he has more fish to fry. Meat Loaf’s latest release, 'Hang Cool Teddy Bear,' drops on May 11 . "I wanted it big," says Meat Loaf  "I wanted it dramatic. I wanted a rock record."

Meat Loaf, with special guest Lisa Bouchelle will  be in  Prince George Wednesday, August 4, at 7:30 pm, at the CN Centre.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, at 10:00 am, at all Ticketmaster outlets.

Wash outs been coming to PG .
yep, but he might be past his prime, but at least he will come to our city and perform. He isn't wallowing away, feeling sorry for himself.

Charlie Pride has seen better days, but still came to Prince George, I never went to his concert, but I think it was reasonably attended.

Elton John, tickets sold out in 12 minutes. He is still filling seats in Vegas, and any other place he goes, so I will not say he is not a upper self performer. He probably is the highest performer this city has seen in a very long time. Yep I would rank them above the Hip when they played here. I got tickets.

Brooks & Dunn
Alan Jackson
Elton John
Billy Talent
Hedley
3 Days Grace
Papa Roach
Alexisonfire
Against Me

....just to name a few in the last year or so. If you want to call them "wash outs", then I'm unsure what would be a good concert to come to PG.
People are just discouraged because AC/DC won't come to town.
Let's not forget Barenaked Ladies and Willy Nelson...not exactly wash ups either!!!
Wanna see has beens? Go to Vegas!!!!

If you are lucky you will even be able to attend a show by Wayne Newton!!!! LOL.
big snoop dogg
Nickelback (3x)
Def Leppard
George Thorogood
The Cult (well kind of washed up)
ZZ Top (old but still sound awesome)

Who really cares? As long as the performances sound great, what does it matter if they haven't released something new recently? If whatever artist can still perform I say bring them in.
We're seeing the Eagles tonight. Another oldie but goodie. 60+

Who are the 20 year olds these days that write their own music, can draw a crowd of 10 of thousands and will be around in 40 years? Lady Gaga???
Once the list is on the blog. OK, we have done pretty good. Keep up the good work.
I think this is great news. He may be older and who knows if he can perform like he used to but, IT'S MEATLOAF! Great voice and puts his heart and soul into his music. Now you listen to the radio and most of the time I turn on my serius radio instead. Can't handle the screaming and rap crap where you can't understand a thing they say. Classic music will never get tiring and looking forward to the concert. Mind you, I may have to find a second job to pay for all my entertainment lately. :)
C'mon folks, clearly it's better to attract nobody and have CN Centre sitting empty not making any money.

Gotta love the logic in PG!
NMG, I think people secretly hate when concerts come to town because it takes the wind out of the sails of the old 'CN Centre is a useless facility' argument.
the market will always vote with their feet and their pocket book.
lets see what happens friday.
I love meatloaf. Especially the day after when it can be sliced up and fried in a pan. Far superior to normal burger patties.

First time in GM place tonight for me. Very interesting with the amount of beer that was flowing in the stands.

Tickets said no cameras/rec/video. No one checked at all. Flashbulbs going off. Iphones all over the place taking videos. Should have known better and taken my camcorder. Great show by great artists. No banter though. Could have been in Anaheim. Well, actually with all that beer, maybe not. :-)

Dubbed "the assisted living tour". Guess Elton John and Meatloaf fit into that categoray as well. It will be a growth industry of the next 10 to 20 years.
Don't forget the multiple visits to PG by Nazareth, or their facsimile.
meatloafman.
I would pay to see Three Days Grace again.Seen Nickelback three times and would go again.Would like to see Papa Roach for sure if they came back.If I like the music and the bands I will attend. If I don't care for the show I simply don't buy tickets and go.I don't see the logic in bitching about what acts come to PG.I wish some others would come, but I am satisfied with some of the ones that do,as it saves me having to travel 500 miles plus extra for meals and accommodations.
