"adult male"?
I doubt that.
The judge should sentence them to vandalize their own cars or something else they own of value.
Thanks to the parents of the youths who's kids are out "late last night" on a school night. Your parenting skills astound. I hope the parents are held financily responsible. This is unless the kids are in the care of MCFD then I think current news issues show the results of Campbells MCFD policies. However, most likely just poor parenting.
That's what you get when you can't spank your kids. LoL!
Sandman Inn should sue their parents in small claims court. We need a Judge Judy type babe on our bench.
Yes, of course it's Campbell's fault. What a refreshingly different idea!

I stubbed my toe this morning.

Guess what? Campbell's fault. Definitely.

Exactly Hammy, or other peoples kids!
Are you the world expert on such topics Realist? Get REAL!!!
Sorry Harbinger the parents were not involved.
I like your idea MrPG.Take away some thing they value ,,perhaps every thing.
Oh come on guys... clearly this is Sandmans fault. We can't just let them off the hook on this one. Study after study has shown that if you leave broken windows in a neighborhood, it doesn't take long until someone comes along and breaks the rest of them... ditto for littering... ditto for construction sites that take ten years to build a building that should be done in less then 10-months... they invite vandalism.

Clearly Sandman is to blame for inviting this kind of vandalism in the first place. That said the youth involved should still pay the piper for their crime, and I actually like MrPG's idea the best for a change on this one anyways.
You know what? I kicked my kids butts. None are in jail, all are great parents and responsible adults. Thank goodness I had my ass kicked as a kid.
There is something to be said for Eagleone's comment.

Construction sites such as that should be fenced with a security fence and have security posted overnight and other times when workers are not on site. Seems like it is another expense Sandman did not want to pay. $2,000 is very little to pay for lack of properly securing a construction site.
I agree with Eagle One and Gus here. The arrogant owners of the Sandman Inns have let their piece work project drag on too long. As an active ( ? ) construction site, they should have perimeter fencing, and a night watchman on site until they open. Having said that, the dopes should be punished, even though it is the Sandman Inn they vandalized, it is still wrong to cause damage to another's property.
metalman.
I've heard that security at the building site is usually asleep.
