Building Permits Continue to Rise

Prince George, B.C.- The recovery continues in Prince George, as the number of building permits is nearly double the same month a year ago, and the value of the permits has also nearly doubled.
 
According to a report presented to City Council last evening,  there were 35 permits issued in April of 2009 for a total value of $1.9 million dollars. Last month there were 64 permits issued for a value of $4.9 million.
 
The year to date figures are  just as impressive, with 180 permits worth $26.86 million issued so far this year compared to 99 permits with a value of $14.05 million during the same period a year ago.
 
Significant Building Permits issued in April 2010:
 
• 2591 Vance Road, New Commercial Retail Andre’s Audiotronic’s, Blanleil Cranbrook Holdings,$600,000.
• 2863 Ferry Avenue, Starlite 9-unit Condo, Hayer Homes, $900,000
• 11 Single Family Dwellings, $2,360,914
 
Development Permits
The following are development permits that were issued in April 2010.
Industrial Development Permit
• 9988 Willowcale Road, to construct a 167 sq. m. addition and 271 sq. m. water treatment building,
Pacific Bioenergy Corporation.

Riparian Development Permit

6151 Gauthier Road, site remediation to Parkridge Creek, 460455 BC Ltd.
