Fatal Stabbing in Ft. St.John

Fort St. John, BC: RCMP Investigators are currently investigating the fatal stabbing of a 28 year old Fort St. John man.
Shortly after 6this morning, members of the Fort St. John RCMP attended a reported disturbance in a parking lot adjacent to an apartment building located on 93 A Street in Fort St. John. Upon their arrival, police discovered that a man sitting in the driver seat of a vehicle parked in the parking lot appeared to have sustained stab wounds. The BC Ambulance Service attended the area and transported the man to hospital. The male later succumbed to his injuries.
With the assistance of the police dog service, investigators conducted a thorough search of the area but were unable to locate anyone potentially involved in this incident.
Police are continuing their investigation which include a forensic examination of the scene. Investigators are also receiving assistance of the local search and rescue team to conduct a search of a nearby small wooden area.
Police are in the preliminary stages of their investigation and no further information is available. The man’s family has been advised of his death and police will not be releasing the man’s name at this time.
