Air Sampling To Start Today In Millar Addition

Prince George, B.C.-  The long awaited  sampling of air in the Millar Addition will start today.

The Ministry of the Environment  will be heading out to  the Fort George Park area today  to collect samples,  this series of samples will be  considered  a “base” line of data  with which  other samples will  be measured.

The sampling follows  information released earlier this year that high levels of formaldehyde had been  detected in  previous samples.  “Formaldehyde is just one of the  things we will be looking for” says MoE Regional Manager Dean Cherkas,  “There are 14 other compounds we will be looking for in the sample as well.”

The samples will be taken   with a battery powered air sampling pump.  The sample will be packaged, frozen and shipped to a lab at the University of British Columbia.

Cherkas says he hopes the results will be back within three weeks, and the information made public as soon as possible after that.

While no one wants to  have a day  with particularly bad air quality, that is exactly what is needed to collect samples  which can be compared to the base line  information  that will be gathered today.

Not today please ,wait for a windy Day, you do get the Results your looking for.
I bet they have let all the major poluters know that this testing was going to happen, and they will also be notified in the future before testing....money doesn't talk...it yells realy loudly...
So now there will be little or no polution...
way to go BC Govt.
There should be 5 random residents of this city witnessing the testing. Better yet, we should be getting independent testing done. I agree with BCRacer. They kept this from us before because they knew we were breathing toxic air. It would have meant stepping on industry and we all know that this government is in bed with them. This corrupt government can not be trusted with our health!!!!!
Conspiracy theorize much?
metalman.
As much as I enjoy the preposition, this is using a known good day for baseline testing. The air conditions (wind/turbulence, humidity) are such that there would not be any "poor" quality readings.

This way they know the minimum air shed loading of contaminants.
no metalman not conspiracy theory...cover ups
