Friday  the 13th turned out to be very unlucky for  some.  That's when Prince George RCMP busted a suspected chop shop in the Hart area.

Police were on their way to a site on Barr Road Friday night to  execute a search warrant related to  stolen semi.
They stopped a pick up that was leaving the property, and turns out the pick-up was stolen.  The driver was arrested.

Police then searched a barn on the property and found a 2005  Kenworth Logging truck which had been reported stolen  nearly a week earlier.
The truck was being dismantled with the engine hood  suspended from a hoist, the tires were off, the drivers seat was missing,  the rear portion of the truckframe was off and resting on the floor, and the headache rack was off.
A second male was arrested.

Both  men were to appear in court today to face a charge of Possession of Stolen Property.

So, you've caught them. Now make them pay. How about 7 times the value of what they stole paid back to the owners of the truck and the community they live in? Percy
Don't be so cruel Chester. They were probably ill treated as children and it's not their fault. Hell, we'll probably be paying for their lawyers. They'll each do 18 months and then start over farther from town.
Do you really think they will get 18 months.....probation maybe.
I think the restitution ida is a good one but how do you enforce that? They don't pay get a lawyer and it is once again deferred.... wonderful thought though...
