Your title makes no sense. What did the tow truck driver have to do with it other than being a victim of a hit and run?

It does make sense from the point of view of possible cause.

There were two people involved. It seems that the woman driver that crashed into the tow truck as well as the parked vehicles must have had a reason for doing so. It may have had something to do with the tow truck driver. Was it a form of road rage? It may also have been something else.

I am wondering why a person would go running after another one who is driving a vehicle. It would seem to me that the running person has little cahnce of catching a person in a vehicle. That time in the morning is not exactly rush hour, nor is this new York City where traffic moves slower than someone on foot.

It will be interesting to see what else we will learn about this intriguing incident and what may have lead to selecting that headline.

I don't think the title matters. The whole point is that some woman, (who can't drive I might add) damaged 3 vehicles. Stupidity is what kills, and thankfully no pedestrians were injured by this woman's stupidity. Kudos to the tow truck driver!! WTG!

I think the Tow Truck Driver probably chased the hit and run driver on foot, because giving chase while towing a vehicle would be insane. I'm pretty sure the tow company isn't insured for that kind of thing!

im confused...... The woman driver drove in front of a tow truck as it attempted to tow a vehicle the woman then hit the tow truck and two other cars???
how dose someone go infront of another vehical then hit it?????????????

or did she get in front of it and put her car in reverse and ram him????
why report a story with no facts

The story is reported elsewhere that she drove into the front of the tow truck. If the tow truck was towing someone from one of the angled parking slots on 3rd, then he would very likely have been driving in the opposite direction of traffic flow on that side of the street. Tow truck or not, that would have put him into the situation of bearing considerable responsibility for driving against traffic initialy. I do not know what the Standard Operating Procedures for that would be. I would think putting a triangular sign on the road to make oncoming traffic aware.

Anyway, all just conjecture. Far too many possibilities to even bother with. Maybe we will find out sometime what the cause of the hysteria and the incident was.

The other story says: "female driver had driven into the front of an Ace Auto Towing truck as it was in the process of towing a parked vehicle." It also says that the truck was moving.

So, two moving vehicles, each having to make sure their path is clear and they have the right of way or have to give the right of way.

Obviously the lady was not a credit to her gender with this episode.

Gender has nothing to do with it..she was just stupid!
