Mayor's Expenses Top The List

Prince George, B.C.- The expense and remuneration report for Mayor and Council has been received by Council.

The report shows that when it comes to expenses, the Mayor is at the top of the list with $17,800.

Here is how the Councillors rank from highest expenses to least:

I think it depends on how often they have to travel to go to things on behalf of the city.

The Mayor on top of the list .... ??? DUH... if he were not, he would not be doing his job.

To me, what is more interesting is that the new kids on the block top the list. All four newbies are in the top four. The fifth is the next newest one.

So, we send the new kids where? to represent the City with little experience on Council to speak on our behalf?

Or is this a matter of hang around with Councillors from other cities so that you learn what you are supposed to be doing here?

Skakun as Mayor is a truly frightening thought.....he is about as useless a Councilor as I've ever seen. Talks a big game, grandstands like crazy, criticizes everything without providing any realistic alternatives, and contributes almost nothing to Council.
Maybe if he used some of that taxpayers dollars to ed-ja-mah-cate himself on how government works he'd be worth something to the City of PG. I won't hold my breath though.

Gus, the mayor might be on top of the list but come on - do you really think he's doing his job??? DUH! As for the newbies, they are educated, informed and business minded - I don't think they need to hang around with other councillors to see what they are supposed to be doing!
