Sorry to see Harper taking the tribalist position yesterday calling for the removal of Libby Davis from the ndp for her criticism of Israeli aggression on the Palestinians. Harper seems intent on using Canada and Canada's name as patsies to defend Israeli violations of international law. Exceptionalism from the rule of law for a tribalist ideology is what Harper supports.
When asked questions in parliament about Canada's role in moral violations of turning over people without trial for torture by Afghan security forces... he wouldn't answer the inquiry and instead used the occasion to call for the removal of a long standing BC politician for advocating her conscience on an issue the rest of the world clearly sees as a war crime.
Clearly what he was saying is that Harper and his conservatives support war crimes and war criminals. Clearly his ideology is zionism and not national conservatism nor defender of Canadian universalism values.
Clearly Canada is devoid of real leadership working for Canadian values protecting the rule of law.

"Clearly his ideology is zionism..."
I don't believe that it is unless he is Jewish. If he is, fine.
If he isn't I would assume that he is a biblical fundamentalist and as such has the Israelites of the Old Testament confused with the people who instituted Zionism.
Regardless, he is forcing an ideology on the rest of the country and more than a few people are appalled by that.
He and his MPs were elected to run the country in an impartial even-handed way, something the majority of citizens could be in sync with.
Personal beliefs and philosophies should be a personal thing and instead the Golden Rule should be applied whenever there is an opportunity.
The Golden Rule is a universal code of life which can be found in every major religion and in the conscience of every decent human being.
