Truck Fire Backs Up Traffic

Prince George, B.C.- A semi- tractor trailer fire  resulted in a long line up of  vehicles trying to get on or  off First Avenue at Carney Street this morning.

The fire broke out in the cabn of the truck  just shortly after 10 this morning.

No one hurt, and  it only took a few minutes for firefighters to  douse the flames.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

oh there goes the air quality. Lets blame the pulpmills and the refinery.
No I'd say its the sawdust. Its a sawdust truck and those trucks get sawdust build up on the exhaust pipes under the cab that can smolder frequently on a hot day if it builds up. Usually the highway speed will blow it all away, but he didn't get far enough for that to happen... likely was already on fire when he pulled out of Brink, but didn't realize it until he got onto Carney.
