It's great to have all of these tougher penalties, but will the courts be allowed to use them or will the paperwork and backlogs and questionable defense tactics win out again?
Nice to see the increases in penalties....
1) they are far from severe enough...
20 there is no excuse, none, to drink and drive....take a taxi, our wonderful transit system, or have someone drive you home, or walk...

I know, those who want to drink, oh right with a meal, and drive feel they are being infringed upon....suck it up sweetheart and live with it....
What does 'counter attack' mean? No one is attacking.
hey bcracer, the law of the land says I can indeed have a glass of wine or a beer at lunch and drive my vehicle. This is not drunk driving, yet if I tell a cop the truth, and he's in a bad mood, he can take my car for 3 days, pay a $600 fine, and have a record: A bit too much power methinks. This is police state stuff.
the only reason this place has become a police state is easy,,, look around you and you will see idiots driving careless people acting stupid and there ya go the sign of the times we live in !we just sem to have become idiots
