Prince George, B.C. - RCMP are hoping to hear from anyone who may have information on this morning's fire on Redwood Street.

Fire crews and the RCMP responded to the  blaze in the 2100 block of Redwood  around 8:00 this morning.

Upon attending the location fire crews found the rear of the duplex engulfed in flames which quickly spread to the roof of the complex.

The duplex is well known to police as it was used in the past by squatters and was a known crack shack. The complex was deemed vacant and had been boarded up to keep unwanted squatters out.

During the investigation police spoke to a witness who saw 2 squatters inside the residence earlier in the morning but had since left the area before the fire started. It is unknown at this time if the fire was an accident or deliberately set.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or has information regarding this Fire investigation to contact the Prince George RCMP or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)

I hope they did not try to stop it from burning down.
Stop wasting my Money, it burned down end of story
Too hot for a weenie roast but they should have let it burn. If it was vacant for a month the insurance will say 'too bad'.
