Let me guess

" Known to Police "
Thanks to Opinion250 for getting the area of the city correct. WTF is up with the CBC calling this area "downtown Prince George" all day?

Downtown has enough problems without being tarred as the location for this incident.
"Downtown has enough problems without being tarred as the location for this incident"

Like it makes any difference!
I think this is a terrible tragedy that a life has been lost as a result of this level of violence. I don't think that any neighbourhood is safe from this type of violence.
A young man is dead WHY?? he is someones son. Things in this part of town are getting out of control.
Tragic. Within 24 hours there is a murder, an attempted kidnapping and assault, just a few blocks away. Another few blocks further and a crack shack is burned to the ground. Wonder if crack is a common denominator?
okay, so it was not downtown ..... how about uptown????

Downtown is the part of town that is "down" as in the part that is down far enough that it is in the new 200 year flood plain ......

uptown is far enough up that it is out of the flood plain ..... :-)

certainly not suburbia ......
Its in the bowl so I would consider it downtown. Besides PG isn't so big as to blur the borders. Considering 20th ave is a block or two from victoria st, its close enough for me. Actually in PG any murder should be considered close by. Bitter: I have 23 yrs on the job and "this part of town" has always been a high crime area. I don't know where the impression comes from that it never was.
Sorry, it actually runs into Victoria st....I was referring to 15th and vic.
