New Banners to be Unveiled this Morning

Prince George, BC - This summer, new street banners will beautify the Hart community and Central Street, as the City of Prince George and Hart Community Association have partnered in an art beatification program. th Avenue and Highway 16. These eight were designed by students Candice Daoust, Ashley Knight, Hailey Koshel, Angie Lundblom and Ashlee Menning.
"We are grateful for the participation of all those involved in this project," said Acting Mayor Murry Krause. "Art is a key component to any community and we are proud to expand on our beautification programs in the City."
"This undertaking was initiated by the Hart Community Association as a civic pride project for the Hart area," said Doug Hofstede, City Recreation Coordinator. "The City’s Public Art Advisory Committee welcomed the proposal with open arms and looked at further ways of expanding it to include the bypass".
These art banners, set to be installed in mid July, were designed by a Kelly Road Senior Secondary Art class, under the direction of art teacher Robyn Beauregard. Forty eight individual designs will be displayed around the Hart Highway and Austin Road intersection.
