Prince George, B.C.-  The Joint Reveiw Panel that is examining the twin pipeline proposal from Enbridge   will be in Prince George and Kitimat this September to take oral presentations on some specific items of the proposal.

Specifically, people interested in the project are being asked to comment on the following three issues:
·        a draft List of Issues (included in the Procedural Direction);
·        additional information which Northern Gateway should be required to file; and
·        location(s) for the oral hearing.

The Panel would like to hear comments on these topics before issuing a  Hearing Order, which would outline the participation options and the procedural process for this Panel review.

Comments can be shared with the Panel in writing or in person at an upcoming Panel session. The Panel encourages written comments. A form for submitting comments can be found on the Panel's website at www.gatewaypanel.review-examen.gc.ca
The Panel has set three sessions to hear oral comments on the  three topics and will be in Prince George on Wednesday, September 8th with the session starting at 9:00 am at the Civic Centre. The Panel will be in Kitimat at the Kitimat River Lodge on August 31st for a session starting at 9 am.
Anyone interested in taking part in the sessions is asked to register in advance. Registration must be done by noon August 18th.

The Enbridge proposal would see two 1,170 kilometre long pipelines built to run between Bruderheim, Alberta and Kitimat, B.C. and the construction and operation of the Kitimat Marine Terminal. Oil would be shipped west to Kitimat through the line, for loading on to ships that will head to U.S. and Asian markets. The second line would carry condensate from the marine terminal to Bruderheim.

To speed up the process, why don't we build it first and then have these meetings to discuss it.
Yeah, it worked for Auschwitz.
