Prince George- RCMP say that they now have  three tips , of what they consider to be reliable information , that a light green Hyundai Tuscon, bearing Alberta license number zpk-289, was seen in Prince George.

Since the first reporting of a sighting of the vehicle, two more people have come forward to say they have seen the car owned by an Alberta couple who are missing.

Marie Ann McCann, 77, and Lyle Thomas McCann, 78, were reported missing by their family on July 10. The RCMP began an investigation at that time which unfortunately to date has been unsuccessful in locating them. They were last seen on a surveillance camera purchasing gas in St. Albert on July 3, 2010.

On July 5th, a 1999 motor home was found burned near Edson. RCMP and Edson Fire Dept. attended and at that time the investigation focused on identifying and contacting the vehicle owners. This was unsuccessful.

A man from Prince George, who police describe as a reliable witness has come forward as a result of the publicity to tell the police that he believes he saw the vehicle and got a partial description of the plate.

A second report was from another individual who says that they saw the vehicle described on the news, Monday of this week.

That brings to three the number of reports of the missing car being in Prince George.

Police are still seeking your assistance in locating this vehicle.

Wow with all these things out there, you would think the theives would just steal another set of plates and throw it on the vehicle. Hmmmm
I wonder whether any of the people who saw the vehicle also saw the occupants, and if so, whether they were the McCanns or someone else?
This story is getting stranger all the time.
Chances are, it's not the McCanns. No cell phone or bank activity, and you'd have to be under a rock to not hear all the news about it. If they were expected down south 5 days ago, they would've contacted family before now if it was just a change of plans.

Very strange, too, for someone else to be driving around, blatantly exposing themselves in this vehicle. Either they're really stupid thieves, or there's something very weird going on.
Onstar would find it pretty fast.
Pffft, Onstar only works when you are in an area that has cellphone coverage.
I'm pretty sure PG has cell phone coverage.
This mystery is sure odd.
