Prince George, B.C. --  Prince George RCMP are just releasing details of a vicious attack on a city man that occurred late last night...

RCMP say a 35-year-old man was savagely assaulted by two attackers just before 11pm at the corner of 5th Avenue and Harper Street.

Police say the man was struck in the head with a blunt object several times.  The victim has since been transferred to Vancouver General Hospital, where he's listed in serious condition with injuries that are considered life-threatening.

RCMP say two individuals were arrested, but they have since been released without charges.  Anyone who may have witnessed the attack, or who may have information, is asked to contact the local detachment at 250-561-3300.

5th & Harper, a convenience store location. Wonder if there is an association with the incident.

arm chair investigations
Who is investigating arm chairs? Are there some defective ones on the market? Another one of those scam schemes?

There were no charges! Thus they were released. This is not Jiangmen. This is still Prince George.

In China, the Criminal Procedures Law apparently gives broad discretion for police to detain people without charge for up to 14 days for ordinary criminal suspects.

I wonder why we are not looking into twinning with a city in Inda. I think it might be a good idea to do as Richmond is doing. Select tow potential cities, work towards a friendship agreement and then look at which one would be a better fit with us for a sister city relationship.

I think that India might be a better fit based on future potential economic benefits to both parties. In addition, I think there is a lesser language barrier. We also have the system of laws in common.

And, they can guide us in how to say "thanks but no thanks" to the continuation of the monarchy being the titular head of this otherwise independent country .... :-)
I'm not sure what China or twinning have to do with the person who was attacked, but I'm pretty sure they don't give a shit about those subjects at this time.I'm just wanting to point out innocent people get attacked for no reason from time to time and innocent people get picked up for questioning, once in awhile, lets wait for more information before drawing any conclusions. And,no I am not one of those bleading heart types,if the guys they did arrest had something to do with this, they should of been held in custody.
Sorry .... post went into the wrong thread .. happens from time to time ... mea culpa, mea culpa .....
